I was working for a company that sold phone systems to businesses and hotels. I was sent to a motel to train the front desk on the operator's console. I knew this wasn't your average roadside motel when I saw the readerboard out front: "Happy Hour rates, 4-7 pm". It was a two-day job, so they gave me a room.

It was a U-shaped configuration, where you parked right in front of your room. There wasn't hardly a soul there, but one car parked near the room they'd given me. I thought that was odd, with all these openings, why give me one right next to an occupied room?

I unlocked the door and found a couple going at it on the bed! They turned to the sound of the door opening, and I let out a little "OH!", and closed the door. I went back and told the desk clerk what had happened, and I was given a different room key. Again, I was pretty young and female, and it was quite the event for me at the time.
