I was recently on holiday with my husband Jack at an adults-only resort in Mexico.

The dares started small and always looked like accidents.

Day one he dared me to "lose" my sarong in the wind at the bar. That night I dared him to leave his shorts in the room and walk back from the beach in only his towel.

Day two he dared me to get locked out of the room in just my underwear and go down to reception for a new key. I stood there at the desk in a bra and knickers while the guy behind the counter tried not to stare. Later I made Jack do the same thing in only his boxers. The receptionist was a woman that time and she didn’t hide her smirk.

Day three he dared me to dive into the pool and "accidentally" lose my bikini top. I had to tread water covering myself until he brought a towel. Four men around the pool saw the whole thing. That evening I dared him to walk from the bathroom to the bed naked with the balcony door open.

Day four he dared me to sunbathe on the lounge chair and let my top come untied so it fell off when I sat up. I grabbed it quickly but not before two men walking past got a clear look. I got him back by daring him to go to the bar for drinks with a visible wet patch on the front of his shorts after "spilling" his drink.

Day five was worse. He dared me to get out of the outdoor shower without a towel when a group of men were walking past. I had to stand there dripping and naked covering for almost a minute while he pretended to look for one. At least three of them stared. That night I made him walk to the ice machine in just his underwear. He ran into two other guests.

On the last full day he said the real one.

No more accidents. Everything off. Walk from the chairs to the palm tree by the wall, stand there facing the water for a full minute, then turn around and walk back.

There were four men on the beach. Two under an umbrella about thirty metres away, one sitting on a chair further along, and one walking the shoreline.

I took the bikini off and left it on the chair. I walked. All four of them looked. The one walking stopped completely. The two under the umbrella both sat up. The man on the chair didn't look away once.

I stood under the palm with my back to them. I could feel them watching. Sixty seconds. Then I turned around and walked back the same way, arms at my sides, nothing covered, while Jack took pictures. The four men were still looking. None of them pretended not to.

I put my clothes back on without speaking.

Then it was his last dare.

I told him he had to stay in the room completely naked, pretend to be asleep on the bed, and not move or cover anything when the cleaners came in. No waking up, no hiding.

He did it. Two cleaners walked in. They saw everything. One of them actually stopped and stared for a few seconds before the other one pulled her further into the room. Jack stayed still the whole time like he'd been told, they cleaned around him for 5 or so minutes.

I thought that was it but when we got home he said:

"After that, you're posting yours," he said. "All the photos and the full story. On the truth or dare website Last dare."

It's taken me a week but here I am! Fair to see he wins.
