Around the middle of October,Cindy says to me,"Wanna go to a Halloween costume party at the end of the month"? "Who's having it"? I replied. She said,"Jody's cousin,Tracy". I said it sounded like fun, but what kind of costumes were we gonna get. She said, "I'll make them, I've already got a couple of ideas. Sensing she had something more than an idea, like a definite plan, I said, "Spit it out, what are you gonna make"? "Never mind, it will keep you in suspense for a couple of days, then it will be a big surprise when you see them". I figured she was up to something no good! Two days later she announces that she thinks she's ready to show me the costumes and proceeds to hand me a VERY SMALL bag.I thought"W.T.F?" as I opened the bag. I reached in and brought out some green folded material.It wasn't very big and I asked what was going on? She says,"We're going as ADAM & EVE, and these are our costumes!" I unfolded it and realised it was a leaf made out of green felt. I said,"You've got to be kidding, I'm not going to a party naked except for a leaf covering my dick! How do you propose to put it on"? She explained that she got some special glue that actors used to stick things like fake beards on. I said, "I'm not going dressed in a leaf"! She says, "What, are you chicken? It'll be fun and if you think you're getting out of it, I DOUBLE DARE YOU to do it!" Well as you know by now, the "D" word is irreversible in our house, so I reluctantly agreed to try on the "costume". I took all my clothes off and stood there while she put some glue on my leaf and stuck it on. When it was time to go, we put our overcoats on and drove to the party.I was worried about how we were going to get from the car into the party without the neighbors seeing us almost naked.We arrived and there was still some room in the driveway, so we parked, wiggled out of our overcoats, took a deep greath, and got out of the car and hurried to the back door of the house.I nervously opened the door and there was a kitchen full of people dressed in all kinds of costumes, pirates, cowboys,hippies,doctors,construction people and many more.All eyes turned our way as we boldly stepped in the door.THere were a few gasps, snickers and snorts, but our friends Jody and Willie just stood there with their mouths open.
