For those of you who followed the posts my husband Lee J posted last year before his death, you will know that our dear friends Jack & Mandy were not able to have children due to an accident that left Jack sterile. They asked Lee if he would impregnate Mandy while on our joint vacation trip to Mexico.
Lee was successful and Mandy got pregnant. The four of us were ecstatic as Lee had never fathered a child because I have a rare mutation that has made it impossible for me to have children. We agreed that no one would ever know who the true father is. As far as the child will know Jack is his biological father.
In early November last year, Lee died suddenly when blot clots from surgery on his leg and hip, traveled to his heart and lungs. We promised we would keep you appraised of the pregnancy.
On May 4, 2018 at 6:04 am, Mandy gave natural birth to a very healthy baby boy. He measured 22 inches and weighed in at 9 lbs. 7 oz. He has been named Jack the second with Lee as his middle name. We will tell him about Lee, but not that he was his father, just a very close family friend. I know Lee would be beaming with pride at his son and when I look at Little Jack, I see Lee and it makes my heart swell.
Thank you again for all of your support and encouraging words.
